London County Council award on front pastedown (not dated), ink price on endpaper partly erased, 320pp. A few signs of use. *"All along our East Anglian shores men had watched for long, and now word had come from Ulfkytel, our earl, that the great swein, the Danish king, had been sighted off thew Dunwich cliffs, and once again the fear of the Danes was on our land." Set in around 1002 A.D.
