Former owner's name P.A. Thomson to fly leaf. *Neat tight boy's adventure story in rarely found wartime illustrated but defective dust jacket, which describes this book (on inner front flap) as follows: "The book derives its title from the name of a public house that stood on the riverside i9n Wapping a hundred and fifty years ago or thereabouts. That is where the hero spent his childhood, and that was his point of departure on a voyage in the best TREASURE ISLAND vein that carried him to the other side of the world and back".
