Small octavo blue decorated and pictorial gilt cloth on bevelled boards (lower hinge partly split, spine rubbed but sound and tight) 332pp +[4]pp publisher's adverts. Some signs of use including a few ink spots, half title foxed and frontis offset to titlepage, but supple, tight with no loose pages. *Story set in America with a strong moral tone but also a romantic one.
