Description
Small octavo brown cloth (tips worn, neatly rebacked with original spine laid on) [xii] +388pp some foxing and marginal light marks of former damp. Nice inscription on free endpaper: "Presented to Master John Sage as a trifling reward for application & industry. Frome=field Midds 1841". *Detailed description of various trades published in the year Queen Victoria ascended the throne. The Bookseller, etc.). The last engraving, "The Bill Sticker," shows a tradesman on a ladder posting bills, including one advertising this book, and another for Griffin's Bazaar Glasgow.
