Octavo pictorial chromolith boards, recent neat reback in green cloth, tips rubbed and bumped, All edges brightly gilt. Neat inscription on flyleaf "William C. Pickersgill son ami & professeur, Elie Charlier, Noel 1856". Half-title, litho frontis, title, 188pp + 7 inserted litho plates. Light browning to page margins, one lower corner torn off without loss of text, lithos clean and colours bright. Shows falconry, fox or wolf hunt, duck shooting, mountain chamois hunt, Florida Indian deer hunt, lion hunt, wildebeest chase and turtle hunt (Gumuchian 2648, Thiebaud, Bibliographie des ouvrages francais sur la chasse 190).
