VOLUME I of II (the 2nd volume only appeared in 1742) small quarto leather-spined boards on 5 raised bands, gilt decorated with red spine title label & black vol. label (tips chipped but a handsome strong binding). Half title (Deo et Ecclesiae) + Portrait + Title in red and black +[22]pp Preface & Syllabus +1280pp +[36]pp 3 Indexes. Free endpaper has Italian presentation inscription to recipient at Padua. Text in Greek, Latin & Hebrew. Some foxing, browning to some gatherings, about 12 quite heavily browned but paper not brittle and entirely readable. All gatherings are clean, without marking/underlining, no tears. *This work is still a useful collection which attempts to elucidate the New Testament from Hebrew & Talmudic sources and parallels.
