Description
Quarto blue cloth gilt, decorated cover title on bevelled boards lower cover blindstamped (repair to 1" split to one hinge, tips worn) All Edges Gilt. Title illuminated with vignette + 15 illuminated pages of poems some poetry printed in colours and gilt or silver and all with illuminated decoration. All pages printed on thick card, with a guard sheet and mounted on a linen stub at the gutter margin. Thus the sheets lie flat and smooth. Decoration includes flowers, butterflies, birds, small views of Lake District. *Bell was Rector of Cheltenham in Gloucestershire.
