Description
Folio newer tooled roan on 4 raised bands (tips rubbed/sl.marked) Titlepage in red and black +[18] =dedication, to the reader & indices 1026pp +[8p] indices of places/things etc. with a second titlepage to TUBA SACERDOTALIS DEMOLIENS MUROS SEPTEM JERICHO with repeated printers mark but page in black only at p[697/8]. Entirely complete except for blanks at end. The first titlepage has a monastic stamp in the margin and outer margin is tatty and repaired without loss of print. The next six prelim. leaves are also slightly tatty or repaired, at the margin and similarly at the end (in the index) however none of this affects any printed areas. There are some creases to pages and about 6 with light ink spots [clearly blotted up as they are pale] A marginal damp mark affects about two dozen leaves in all in the middle, the book is otherwise clean and square. *By a Belgian theologian, the work was very popular giving advice on how to live, the various sins explained and graded as to severity, the sacraments explained and how to pray. A large book, in good condition, text in two columns with side notes giving biblical references but not that easy to come by.
