Duodecimo (13x17cm) original card covers laced through (rubbed and a bit soiled but intact), lxiv (inc. title, dedication, Preface, Life of Boethius etc.) +143pp +[1]p colophon with ppublisher's mark. Early ownership to titlepage "Joannis Ludovici Goffredi" with note laid in giving details of other past owners, inc. Sir William McKenny's library at Villa Campanani on Lake Como. *An entirely uncut handsomely printed copy of all 5 books of the De Consolatione with the Metrum and the Prosa alternating within each book and a few nice head and tailpieces (Brunet I 1035 says 1721 1st edition more rare than 1744 2nd).
